Description

Universal connector style steam traps provide an industry standard way of installing and repairing traps.  The universal connector is permanently installed inline, and trap modules are then bolted to this connector.  Repairing or replacing the trap is a simple matter of removing two bolts.  This can be accomplished in minutes without disturbing any critical piping.  Rugged design and stainless steel construction ensure the longevity of the universal connector.  Traps of different operating technology all mount to the universal connector. This Thermodynamic Trap Module mates to the industry standard universal connector.  Drastically reducing trap replacement time and cost, the Watson McDaniel Universal Connectors are available both with and without integral strainer and blowdown valve.  Due to their rugged construction, they will remain in line virtually indefinitely.  The trap is easily renewable by removing two bolts and either servicing or replacing the trap module.  This can be accomplished in minutes without disturbing any critical piping.  The universal connector is built to industry standards and accepts many manufacturers steam traps.

Truly the trend for the future, Watson McDaniel makes available the connector only, or replaceable Thermodynamic and Thermostatic Trap units.  NPT and socket weld connections are available.  Excellent for drip and tracer service, or where quick trap replacement is desired.
