Description
Float and thermostatic steam traps are commonly used on
process applications where they function to drain condensate from a heat
exchanger. These types of traps respond quickly to changing loads,
and they have a quiet, modulating action. Rising water level
inside the trap causes the float to rise. This pulls the
valve plug away from the seat, opening the valve. After the
condensate has been drained away, the float falls and valve plug is
guided into the seat to close the valve. An integral thermostat
functions to vent air and other non-condensable gases from the system.

Series FT600 3"
& 4"
Series FTE
The Series FTE Steam Traps are industrial grade ultra high capacity float
& thermostatic steam traps designed for process applications with very
high condensate loads or low differential pressures. These traps
uniquely feature ductile iron bodies, all stainless steel internals, and
both parallel or in-line piping connections. Certainly the most advanced
high capacity F&T traps available today.
