Description

Self contained pressure regulators are simple to install because there are no external sensing connection to hook-up.  Watson McDaniel manufactures a wide variety of single seated self contained pressure regulators.  This family includes direct acting (Series O and Series B), balanced (Series 455), and pilot operated (Series 402) regulators to satisfy a broad range of applications.

Series O
for Steam, Air, Water or Liquid Service

The Series O (oh) are internally sensed, self contained, pressure regulators.  Requiring a moderate degree of accuracy with a medium range of flow requirements, they are designed for reducing pressure in general service steam, air, and water applications.  The fully guided stainless steel trim is hardened and ground for long service life and can be applied for dead end service.  Valve bodies are standard in cast iron 3/8" thru 2" connections allowing for maximum inlet pressures of 250 psig and reduced pressure range from 1 to 200 psig.

Series O

CVs: up to 5.2
Maximum inlet pressure: 250 psig [17.2 bar]
Reduced pressure range: 0 to 200 psig [0 to 13.8 bar]
Sizes: 3/8", 1/2", 3/4", 1", 1-1/4", 1-1/2", and 2"
Connections: NPT
Material: Cast iron bodies with hardened stainless steel trim
Weight: 8 to 40 lbs [4 to 18 kg]

Series B
for Air or Water Service

The O Series are internally sensed, self contained, pressure regulators with a balanced trim specifically designed for reducing pressure in water and air applications that require a close degree of accuracy over a full range of flows.  The standard neoprene or special high temperature viton seating material allows this regulator to be applied where tight shut off is critical.  Valve bodies are standard in bronze and cast iron 1/2" thru 8" connections for maximum inlet pressures of 300 psi and reduced pressure range from 5 to 125 psi

Series B

CVs: up to 170
Maximum inlet pressure: 300 psig [20.7 bar]
Reduced pressure range: 5 to 125 psig [0.3 to 8.6 bar]
Sizes: 1/2" to 8"
Connections:
NPT - 1/2" to 2-1/2"
125 lb Flg - 3' to 8"
250 lb Flg - 3' to 8"
Body material:
Bronze - 1/2" to 2-1/2"
Cast iron - 3" to 8"
Elastomeric seating materials for tight shutoff
Weight: 7 to 415 lbs [3 to 190 kg]

Series 402
for Steam or Air Service

The Series 402 are internally piloted, piston actuated, pressure reducing valves.  They are designed for critical process applications requiring a high degree of accuracy over a wide range of pressures.  Specifically intended for steam and air service, the fully guided hardened and ground stainless steel trim assures long service and tight shut off.  Valve bodies are standard in Ductile iron 1/2" thru 4" connections allowing for maximum inlet pressures of 450 psi and reduced pressure range from 10-280 psi

Series 402

CVs: up to 115
Maximum inlet pressure: 450 psig [31.0 bar]
Reduced pressure range: 0 to 200 psig [0 to 13.8 bar]
Sizes: 1/2" to 4"
Connections:
NPT - 1/2" to 2"
150 lb Flg - 2" to 4"
300 lb Flg - 2" to 4"
Body material: ductile iron
Weight: 19 to 170 lbs [9 to 77 kg]

Series 455
for Steam or Air Service

The Series 455 are self contained pressure regulators equipped with a unique internal balancing pilot that increases their capacities and accuracy yet are not adversely effected by dirty systems.  Specifically intended for steam and air service, the internal balancing pilot allows these regulators to function well on low pressure systems where only a few psi of pressure is available.

Series 455

CVs: up to 70
Maximum inlet pressure: 250 psig [17.2 bar]
Reduced pressure range: 1 to 125 psig [0.1 to 18.6 bar]
Sizes: 1/2" to 4"
Connections:
NPT - 1/2" to 2"
125 lb Flg - 2" to 4"
250 lb Flg - 2" to 4"
Body material:
Bronze - 1/2" to 1-1/2"
Cast iron - 2" to 4"
Weight: 15 to 158 lbs [7 to 72 kg]
