Description

Back Pressure Regulators are used to control pressure
upstream of the regulator or to relieve excess pressure. These
devices are frequently used in pump applications to maintain a minimum
flow through the pump when it would otherwise be deadheaded.
Watson McDaniel manufactures single seated, self contained back pressure
regulators for water, oil, and air service (Series
3040 and Series R). For steam
applications use the Series DBP
pilot operated back pressure regulator.

|
| The Series 3040 are Relief or Back Pressure Regulating Valves for liquid or air, capable of controlling inlet pressures up to 125 psig. Bodies are bronze with 1/2" thru 2 1/2" connections and Buna N seats or Teflon for tight shut off. Typical services include system pressure control, balancing, and pump bypass relief. |
